The X1 Carbon is built around a high-speed CoreXY platform designed for rapid, consistent printing. It combines up to 20 m/s² acceleration with a maximum toolhead speed of 500 mm/s, helping reduce print times while maintaining strong print quality. Its 7 μm lidar system supports micro-lidar assisted bed leveling, AI-assisted first-layer inspection, and additional print intelligence that helps automate setup and improve reliability.

AI-Powered Printing Experience

The X1 Carbon uses a dual auto bed leveling system that combines lidar and analog force sensors for additional redundancy and more reliable calibration. AI-powered monitoring helps check first layers before a long job continues, while spaghetti failure detection can identify common print failures and auto-pause the machine to help protect both the printer and the print.

Smoother Results with Less Tuning

To improve surface quality, the X1 Carbon uses active vibration compensation on the XY axes together with extrusion compensation. This helps reduce ringing and improves print smoothness, especially when printing at high speed.

Built for Advanced Materials

Equipped with extra cooling plus a hardened steel nozzle and hardened drive gear, the X1 Carbon is designed to handle a wider range of materials than basic consumer printers. It supports common materials including PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, PVA, and PET, and is especially well suited for PA, PC, and carbon fiber or glass fiber reinforced polymers.

Multi-Color & Multi-Material Ready

The X1 Carbon platform supports multi-color and multi-material printing through Bambu Lab AMS systems. The standard X1 Carbon does not include an AMS unit, while the X1 Carbon Combo includes the original Bambu Lab AMS. Each AMS supports up to 4 filaments, and up to 4 AMS units can be connected for prints using as many as 16 colors or materials.

AMS 2 Pro Bundle Advantage

The X1 Carbon AMS 2 Pro Combo adds the newer AMS 2 Pro for more advanced filament handling. It is designed to provide faster switching, better moisture control, active air venting, airtight filament storage, RFID filament sync, and built-in filament drying up to 65°C. The AMS 2 Pro also uses a brushless servo feeding motor that delivers up to 60% faster feeding speed for a more efficient multi-material workflow.
